Celebrating 500 Travel Reports!

Travel with Leighton Literature travel reports short stories album reviews.

Today I published my 500th travel report (!) with my article on Tooting Bec Common in London. This is cause for celebration because a) five hundred is a sexy number and b) I never thought I’d get this far! Now I kinda like the sound of 1000.

These articles of mine have evolved over time from simple photo sharing (“Top 5 photos”) to more structured location descriptions (“My 5…”) and now the expansive travel reports of today. My first post came out in March 2016 with a look back at a 2002 trip to Vienna. Three and a half years later and I’ve thrown out 499 more from across 32 countries. Take a look at my menu page for the global overview!

Having finally made the transition to full time travel blogging I’m now committed to publishing a new travel report every day! And with hundreds of unpublished locations still clogging up my photo folders, there seems to be no end in sight. I’m also in the midst of reformatting my entire site for the third time *faceplam*, along with a zillion other projects. Luckily, family time in the gorgeous locales of rural Scotland is just about the most idyllic place to stop, take a deep breath and hunker down.

Thanks for reading!
