1. Calle Ancha, December 2016. My first trip to Marbella was something of a mission. Waking up at the crack of dawn, I took the bus over from Malaga City. It was all about getting my repaired MacBook picked up in time for Christmas after a disastrous coffee spill. Meeting a man called Joey at the bus station, I reclaimed my precious Mac and set off into town for a half day of exploring. I’d been hoping to grab some breakfast, but it was barely 9 o’clock and most cafes were still shut as I made my way down deserted Calle Ancha into the historical centre.
