New York City

Things to do in New York City

“The world won’t wait, so I better shake
That thing right out there through the door
Hell, I still love you, New York”.

I love Ryan Adams and I love New York, a city that enchanted me like no other right from my first day spent exploring Manhattan on foot. If I ever come into an obscene amount of money, I’ll probably buy myself a little NYC pad so that I can come and go as I please. But with this glorious daydream unlikely to ever materialize, I’ll just have to make do with my Big Apple Memories: Lazy breakfasts at Tick Tock Diner, chatting with Jake Gyllenhaal at The Crosby Street Hotel, browsing through the endless shelves of albums at Academy Records, proposing to S on top of The Empire State Building, paying my respects to John Lennon outside The Dakota, crossing The Brooklyn Bridge, The Color Purple on Broadway, dancing to a gospel performance at Harlem’s The Greater Highway Deliverance Temple, watching the world go by with a deli counter salad in Central Park and a limousine ride to dinner at Frankie & Johnnies.

Brooklyn Bridge, things to see and do in New York City
Being a shameless tourist during my first trip to NYC, May 2007.

I could go on and on. Instead, I’ll direct you to my articles on:

Central Park

The Empire State Building

The Statue of Liberty (Coming soon!)

Strawberry Fields Memorial (Coming soon!)

& my choice spots from across the city.
